IMPORTANT NEW SITE CONDITIONS:
- Wandering off the event grounds is strictly prohibited. This is for your own safety and to make supervision of patrons manageable.
- Patrons will not be permitted to enter the property until Thursday midday. There is no longer an early-bird camping area, so no need to beat the rush. Also patrons must vacate the property by Tuesday midday. These are the land owners wishes and form part of the permit conditions. Please respect this.
GENERAL ADVICE:
Check the website regularly for more current information and updates. Drive safely at all times, a 5km/h speed limit applies to the entire festival area. Make use of local facilities, the local community supports our event please where possible support them. Look after your friends & others, if some one looks like they need help offer it. Familiarise yourself with the festival area, take note of the location of First Aid, water, toilets and the info tent. Plan your clothing, footwear, accommodation, food and transport carefully. Once you have set up camp introduce yourself to your neighbours. Be considerate of peoples privacy when when using camera equipment. Remember to drink enough water, dehydration can occur even on warm overcast days.
FIRE WARNING
Fire conditions in the Australian bush at anytime can be extremely dangerous, make sure to follow all fire safety conditions carefully & responsibly. Check with Fire Safety officers on site if unsure about any other equipment. Check for more detailed fire safety information in the event handbook provided on arrival. Please take the time to familiarise yourself with our Emergency Evacuation Procedures.
WRIST STRAPS - VERY IMPORTANT!!
These are a security feature needed to help us manage this event. It is a condition of entry that they be worn by everyone for the duration of the event. They will be fitted to each person as they enter through the checkpoint. Please co-operate and do not tamper with or remove them till it's all over!! Anyone not wearing or claiming to have lost their wrist strap will be escorted off the property. See staff at the info tent if you have a badly fitting strap and they will replace it.
DOGS
For the benefit of all patrons and the dogs themselves, we now have a strict policy of no dogs allowed on the festival grounds at all. As the property is a working cattle station, the owners have had problems with wild dogs attacking small cattle & thus have had to resort to using 1080 dog baits. Please leave your dog at home.
If you decide that you must bring your dog. Also bring a Lead & bowl + $350 to cover the cost of the dog pen where your dog will be kept for the weekend.
RUBBISH / ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
Crush all plastic bottles before binning them to reduce the bulk of litter. This year we have recycling bins for plastic bottles and cans, please follow instructions and use them. Use rubbish bins and bags provided for all waste. Keep your camp clean, a clean camp is a safe camp. If you need extra bags for rubbish you can ask for them at the info shed. Try to leave the area you use in the same or better condition than you found it. Take your rubbish home for recycling where appropriate. Think about what you are bringing on site - minimize your waste products. Respect the environment, help preserve the trees & nature for all to enjoy.
CAMPING & PARKING
This is a camping event. You are welcome to arrive early (from Thursday afternoon onwards) and bring all the items that will help make your camp comfortable, poles and tarps for shade are a good idea. When arriving follow parking instructions, only camp in permitted areas - not on walkways, paths or road side. If you are unsure check with an attendant. Try to keep space between camp sites (2m is recommended). There are 2 distinct camping areas this year - "Walk-In Only Camping" area amongst the trees or beside your cars in the "General Camping" area (see site map). Pay attention to signs & designated "No Camping" areas. Free water and serviced toilets & showers are provided. Please also respect the land owners wishes to have the property vacated by Tuesday afternoon at the latest.
THEFT
We strongly encourage you to leave valuables at home or if you must bring them, locked and hidden in your car. Introduce yourself to your neighbours and keep an eye out for each other. Report any suspicious activity to security or the info tent. Please respect decor artists, their works are to be seen and admired not stolen as has unfortunately been known to happen.
