Koahlition Reggae Band is a multicultural band from Far North Queensland . The 6/7 piece band is ever evolving and in their music portray the diversity of the Far North and its links to the Torres Strait and P.N.G . The family oriented band consists of Rohan Rusch on guitar and vocals, his partner Tracy on vocals and son Adric on bass. The Rusch’s are of German ,Sri Lankan and Australian heritage. Hailing from Saibai Island in the Torres Strait is guitar wizard Moses Warusam, a talented and devoted lead guitarist, plays some mean riffs.to compliment the band and has established himself as a quality session and solo performer in his own right. Also from the Torres Strait is Lone Pedro on vocals and percussion, adding some sweet island harmony who is also currently recording his original compositions. Many quality guest musicians are often featured in their performances. Their original music can be described as early roots, rock, reggae with a quirky Aussie twang and a South Pacific breeze.They also play some great cover versions of songs by Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and Toots Hibbert amongst others.Their music is raw and real...The band don't tour so you won't get this anywhere else.
